Getting into Parkour is not hard to do, but in this guide I will outline how you can learn Parkour in your first month. Each day you will do something different that will help with Parkour and starting it.
Day 1
Well, if this is your first day ever with Parkour, you will want to learn how to roll first.
To do this, you can watch some tutorials. ParkourX has a roll tutorial that can be found on our site.
Once you have watched some tutorials, practice this roll on a mat.
Day 2
Today you will be continuing the roll, but we will also be adding the side roll in. You will also want to watch some tutorials on this, and after that, you will also want to practice that on the mat.
Day 3
Keep practicing the back rolls today, but we also need to learn the back roll. This is used if your momentum is going backwards, obviously. Just search a tutorial or two on this, and practice it on the mat as well. If you can, try some front and back rolls outside.
Day 4
We will keep practicing the rolls because these are of vital importance in Parkour. Will will also start the two handed side vault today. Just watch a video or two, and find a nice bar to practice this on.
Day 5
We always keep building on what we have started, so today we will also add in the “lazy vault” or one-handed side vault.
Day 6
Today, we keep working on everything else we have learned if possible, and will start the monkey vault. This is were you put your hand on the bar right as or before you jump, and two-foot jump over the bar. It’s quite easy, but is good to know as it can easily be built on.
Day 7
Now we will add in the kong, a variation of the monkey vault. This is were you do the two-foot jump before you place your hands down. This is one of the single most important vaults, and you need to know it.
Day 8
Because the kong and the rolls we’ve learned are very important, we will review everything we have learned so far today, and keep working on that.
Day 9
Today we start with precisions. A precision is a two-foot jump in which you pick the spot you will land.
Day 10
Now we will and in The Crane. You can check out the ParkourX tutorial on this, and it’s easy to do, and shouldn’t be too hard.
Day 11
Today, we add in a very, very useful move called the “Cat”. It’s great to use for building jumping, but it can be hard to find something good enough to practice on if your not sure what to look for.
Day 12
The move we would learn today is optional. Some people don’t like this move at all, so if you would rather not do it, today will be a day for review. If you do decide to learn this move, we will learn the dash today. In the dash, you kick your legs up, like your kicking someone’s chest over the bar, then your hands follow and push off. I strongly recommend watching multiple tutorials on this one.
Day 13
Today if you can, find a good area and try to just got for a run in it, using everything you can.
Day 14
The wall climb is todays move. This is were you take one to three steps on the wall, then grab the top and pull yourself up. If you are around 5’10″, a 10 foot wall would be great, but 8-9 would be best to start on.
Day 15
Good work if you have made it this far! If you did, stick with Parkour, and you wont regret it at all! Today is a full out review of every single thing you have learned.

i’m preparing myself to get into parkour, namely running and doing fitness for the time being (and the next couple of weeks / months).
this introduction scheme looks good, though general references to tutorials make it difficult to know which tutorial is good and accurate. we don’t want to learn wrong, do we ?
so, is there a possibility to have direct links to these good tutorials, or some references on people that generally make good tutorials ?
thanks on beforehand,
sven (belgium)
oh, and another thing: you say some rolling tutorials are already available on the website (see top of page), but where ? I can’t seem to find them.
thanks in advance,
sven.
